ABOUT THE SHOW...
In this lightning-quick farce, Meg (Jill Lewandowski), Carol (Rachel Loper), Ellie (Piper Drace) and Dot (Susannah Griffin) travel to Dot’s Northwoods cabin to consume copious amounts of wine, laugh at their lives, trade stories and chat about their book club’s latest selection.
However, after the third case of wine comes through the door, it becomes clear there will be more stewing than reviewing. The madcap, door-slamming chaos comes to a head when Dot wakes up and discovers her girls’ weekend is full of...well, we don’t want to spoil it all!
Rounding out the cast are Greg Ellis (Rick), Jason Bruce (Stephen), Steven Perry (Sheriff Tom), and Brodie Sapp (Bubba).

Jason Bruce (Stephen) - Jason is excited to be making his SSP debut! He has mainly worked with Community Players of Salisbury, where his favorite roles have included McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire, Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar, and Lt. Kendrick in A Few Good Men. He has also appeared as the Judge in Something Rotten at Possum Point Players. When not on stage, Jason enjoys being a psychotic sports fan, traveling to craft breweries, and being an unpaid intern for Ozzy and Dewey, Corgis at Large. He lives in Salisbury with his wife Holly and daughter Lily. Go Vols!
Piper Drace (Ellie) - Piper is super excited to be a part of this production as her third show at Second Street Players! After joining theater in high school and finding a great affinity for it, stepping onto the community stage has been an amazing experience. Previously performing in The Diary of Anne Frank (Margot) and Cheaper by the Dozen (Miss Brill) at SSP, Piper is excited to bring some laughs through Ellie in this production. Along with theater, she enjoys spending free time baking for her family and friends. “To friends and wine!”
Greg Ellis (Rick) - Greg holds a BA from Southern CT State University in Acting and Direction and he is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA. He is thrilled to be appearing for his fourth production at Riverfront Theater. Previous roles include Dale Harding in One flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Oscar in The Odd Couple and Charly Cowell in The Music Man. He would like to thank the Director Chris Ennis, and the cast and crew for this wonderful experience. Other regional favorite roles include Col. Jessup in A few Good Men, Buddy Levaco in Kimberly Akimbo and Harlan “Mountain” McClintock in Requiem for a Heavyweight.
Susannah Griffin (Dot) - Susannah is thrilled to return to the stage at SSP and loves her theater family here at the Riverfront Theater. Favorite acting credits include Harriett in POTUS at Clearspace Theater in Rehoboth, Henrietta Leavitt in Silent Sky at Possum Point Players in Georgetown and Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest right here at SSP. Outside of the theater, Susannah has been a Realtor with Long & Foster in the Rehoboth/Lewes area for 25 years. She is truly grateful for the opportunity to learn, collaborate and share in the joy of bringing this funny and heartfelt story to life with such a wonderful cast and creative team.
Jill Lewandowski (Meg) - Girls’ Weekend is Jill’s third show with Second Street Players. She is honored to have previously performed in Murder on the Orient Express and You Can’t Take It with You at the Riverfront Theater. She has been active with local theaters, on and off stage, for the past 15 years.
Rachel Loper (Carol and Light Design) – Rachel is a familiar face around Riverfront Theater wearing many hats including board member, director and lighting designer (just to name a few). However, Girl’s Weekend marks her grand return to being onstage after 20 years! Rachel would like to thank her fellow cast, crew and production team for making this momentous occasion such a wonderful and memorable experience. When she isn’t at the theater, Rachel enjoys relaxing at home with her three pets–a golden retriever, a black cat and her husband, Lou.
Thomas Lyons (Bubba - May 9th Performance) - Thomas is excited to be appearing in his 3rd SSP show and 4th overall theater production. He previously performed in Cheaper by the Dozen (Dr. Burton) and Peter Pan and Wendy (Pirate, Flyer, ensemble) at SSP as well as performing in It’s a Wonderful Life: The Musical at the Everett Theatre (Mr. Reinman, Randall). Thomas is thrilled to be a part of this cast and wants to give a huge shoutout to director Chris Ennis for believing in him, and to the rest of the cast and crew for being so kind and supportive.
Steven Perry (Sheriff Tom) - Steven is having a blast being part of this production, after appearing in the heart-wrenching historical drama The Diary of Anne Frank earlier this year. This is his 14th production here at SSP since moving to Delaware from Virginia in 2017. Favorite roles here include Atticus in To Kill a Mockingbird, Weller in The Gin Game and Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Steven also regularly performs with the Possum Point Players in Georgetown.
Brodie Sapp (Bubba) – Bubba is a returning player. He spent some time in Manhattan doing musical theater, and now he’s working his way through college to be a Paleontologist. Brodie has done theater for 11 or so years now and it’s taken him from his highest to his lowest and everywhere in between. He’d like to thank his Mom, Dad, Uncle Slim, and Kaylee. God bless.
